Most Africa areas and particularly Tanzania where safaris are organized are completely safe, and free of political conflicts.
You are probably safest when visiting game parks, beaches and countryside. The governments of countries we are operating and the wildlife departments have usually tighten the security in the concerned areas. These initiatives have provided our clients with maximum security for their lives and properties.
While taking all necessary precautions all our 4×4 safari vehicles are equipped with radios or mobiles phones and are in constant touch with the head office or rangers. For administration of cash and other valuable items please ensure that you do not leave your cash and valuable unattended – use the safes available in the tourists’ lodges/hotels/camps or lock them in your bag with a sturdy lock.
Note: As you may be aware most of Cities in the world have crime incidents. Then take note those expensive items such heavy jewels are not recommended in the cities as they tend to attracts unnecessary attention. Please consider to adhere to the following listed common sense precautions:
- Avoid the known trouble spots within any city.
- Take only guided tours and excursions approved by our staff only where possible
- Don’t travel long distances at night on your own and only take taxis arranged from your hotel desk.
- Avoid walking in the streets with lots of cash and valuables.
- Do not display your valuable jewellery on the streets.
- Use the hotel safe to lock in your cash and valuable items and make sure you obtain a receipt
- Ask your guide, hotel or locals for advice before you embark on any little expedition.
If threatened do not resist.
Generally safari accessories such as Cameras, binoculars etc are on the other hand are safe inside the room though ideally it’s wise to carry them with you. Tented camps do not have locks on the door and the staff have to be trusted. On leaving the Camps/hotel/lodge please ensure that all your belongings are with you. In case of any missing items please report the incident immediately to the camp/hotel/lodge manager and the driver/guide for further action. Please carry adequate theft insurance for the trip.
Do not, however, be afraid to explore the cities. African people are generous, friendly and gentle by nature and love interacting with visitors. We encourage you to meet the local people and talk to them.
