4 Days – Northern Tanzania camping safari

Night game drive at Manyara is considered as marvelous. Its magic to see tree climbing lions in Manyara National Park during daytime game drive in Lake Manyara National Park.

Manyara is perfect location for an active safari – canoeing on the lake or mountain biking and abseiling outside park borders. The Park’s dazzling variety of birds includes thousands of Red-Billed Quellea flitting over the water, pelicans, cormorants and the pink streaks of thousands flamings.

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara for a full day game drive in beautiful Manyara National Park. Remember its the only park you will be able to see tree climbing lions relaxed on branches of trees after they taken their preys. See buffalo, giraffe, zebra and many more species, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Great Rift Wall. Dinner and overnight at the Campsite.

Day 2:Lake Manyara -Serengeti National Park
After breakfast and taking some sunrise pictures leave with your lunch box and drive to Serengeti Park via Olduvai Gorge Museum where you will get lecture about the museum then proceed with drive to Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival at Naabi Gate lunch will be served. Proceed with program and later stop for dinner and overnight at Campsite.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park –Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Leave the camp for early morning game drive inside Serengeti Park. Having enjoyed much with morning game drive drive back for lunch and park your thing then drive to Ngorongoro. Discend to Ngorongoro Crater for game drive and later return for dinner and overnight at Campsite.

Day 4:Crater Tour –Back to Arusha
After early breakfast leave with your lunch box for full day game drive inside the crater. Stop for lunch at the picnic site then proceed with game drive until late afternoon then drive to Arusha in the Evening.

7 Days – Northern Tanzania Safari

Northern Tanzania Safari lead you into visiting several famous parks of Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater. You will start with Tarangire National Park – the name Tarangire originated from the Tarangire river that crosses through the park, being the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.

During the dry season thousands of animals migrate to the Tarangire National Park from Manyara. From Lake Manyara – the fomous park for Lions climbing trees you will be heading to Ngorongoro the Paradise of Africa. This days safari to Tanzania North is made classic to make your Africa dream real.

Northern Tanzania Safari Program

Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Tarangire National Park
Get up a little bit in your Hotel/Resident take your breakfast and thereafter depart to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy afternoon game drive in the Park which its name originated from the river that passes through it. Tarangire National Park is famous for the highest animal concentrations during the dry season. During this session expect to view flocks of elephants, buffalos, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and Elands, leopards. Some of these animals can be seen throughout the year. Return to hotel/codge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park
Start your northern tanzania safari with amazing sounds of birds early in the morning which are estimates to be in over 300 species. Early sunrise game drive is encouraged to view the lovely acacia and dense elephant grass along the river and numerous baobab trees. Later proceed to Serengeti National Park while you will have your fantastic lunch prior to visiting Olduvai Gorge where the Leakey family discovered the Early East African Man. In the evening arrive in Serengeti National Park a little bit tired but ready for dinner and overnight in Serengeti lodges / Hotels.

Day 3: Full Day Serengeti National Park Excursion
You have a full day tour which starts by a morning game drive followed by afternoon game drive. It’s fantastic experience viewing the population of predators and perhaps annual wildebeest migration if you have booked for February to May trips. You will enjoy seeing a herd of over a million wildebeests migrates for the Western corridor of the park in search of greener pastures. Picnic lunch will be saved while visiting the Park. Most of the park is open grassland broken by isolated granite kopies (hills) and patches of acacias woodlands. Later return for dinner and overnight in Serengeti lodges / Hotels.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast depart from Serengeti the home of other common animals like lions, leopards, zebras, Thompson gazelles, impala, Grants gazelles and buffalos toNgorongoro Conservation Area. This game drive will give a rare chance to view from the rim the majestic Ngorongoro crater. Upon arrival you will be served with dinner and overnight in Ngorongoro Lodges / Hotels.

Day 5: Half Day Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Having fresh memories of day 4 Serengeti/Ngorongoro drive, start your half-day tour of Ngorongoro crater, One of the largest Calderas in the world. It’s believed that Ngorongoro Crater a 20 km wide, is also one of the best Wildlife viewing areas where Black Rhinos can be seen in Tanzania. The crater at 2.286 m above sea level is the largest unbroken Calderas in the world. Surrounded by very steep walls, rising 610 m from the crate floor, it covers 260 km2 and is home to over 30,000 animals, almost half of them being zebra and wildebeest. Return for dinner and overnight in one of the lodges/hotels found in of the listed World Heritage site – Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Manyara National Park
After your breakfast drive from Ngorongoro to Manyara National Park which will be followed with afternoon game drive around Lake Manyara. This is a unique opportunity if lack to view tree-climbing lions. The park covers 390 km² and is sanctuary to over 400 species of bird that include the pink flamingos, pelicans, storks, Ibis and Egyptian Geese. There is also a huge herd of buffalo and elephant. While a little bit tired return to either Manyara or Karatu lodges/hotels for dinner and overnight

Day 7: Manyara National Park to Arusha
Enjoy Sunrise morning game drive and thereafter drive to Arusha/Moshi if spending your night in Arusha/Moshi ready for taking your next flight.

Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park Safari

After breakfast in Arusha depart for Lake Manyara Hotel which is built on the rift wall at a high altitude, thus offering a magnificent view of the lake and the park. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National – Serengeti

After fabulous breakfast start day 2 Game drive at Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Here you can see a variety of habitats and diverse animals and birds. Witness the large flock of flamingos descending on the Lake Manyara. After lunch drive to Seronera for dinner and overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge.

Day 3: Full Day Serengeti Game Drive

After breakfast have a full day game drive in Serengeti National Park with your lunch boxes, here you can find the largest concentration of plain animals – 4 million and 500 species of birds. Your chance to see predators chasing their prey and enjoying their kill. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater “Africa’s Eden” via Olduvai Gorge

After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge, site of archeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5. million years ago have been discovered. Lunch at the Lodge, afternoon leisure, dinner and overnight at Crater or Wildlife Lodge situated on the rim of the crater.

Day 5: Full Day Ngorongoro Tour

After breakfast, have a full day tour of Ngorongoro crater, here you can see a spectacular concentration of wildlife, including the big five. Drive across the dense forest and near the soda lake and enjoy viewing a variety of birdlife. Ascend to the lodge from the 2000ft deep crater, lunch boxes on the way, dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 6: Ngorongoro – Arusha/Moshi

After breakfast, depart for Arusha/Moshi with a stop at Mto wa Mbu market.
